Other warning signs
- Egg cases (oothecae): small brown capsules.

- A musty or oily odor with large populations.
- Shed skins and dead roaches.

Where to look
Check behind and under refrigerators and stoves, inside cabinets, under sinks, around dishwashers and in bathrooms and laundry areas.
What to do
- Clean droppings with soap and water; wear gloves.
- Fix moisture and seal gaps.
- Use baits rather than foggers; see how to get rid of cockroaches.
- Call for cockroach control if signs persist. Our Fort Lauderdale exterminator services team can identify the species.
